The ‘Small Print’ (a.k.a. Terms and Conditions)
This is the part where we write the ‘small print’ (I use the quote marks, because let’s face it, this printing is going to be the same size as all the other print on the site.).
The bottom line is that we want you to be happy with the site that you get and know that we squeezed every good thing out of your budget for your website.
We have been building sites for clients with this in mind since 2005, and we don’t intend to stop now.
That being said, here’s what you can expect from us and what we expect from our clients. Just so you know.
Your Website
Your website will be delivered as promised and on the agreed upon schedule by CarricDesign. Once you have paid your invoice, all of the content, design, hosting…everything…belongs to you and you can do with it as you wish. If you enter into a maintenance plan with CarricDesign, that does not remove your right to have anyone of your choosing work on your site.
Sometimes there are plugins or special parts of the site that have an ongoing annual fee. If that is the case, you will be advised at the start of the project or when the plugin is purchased for your project. CarricDesign will take care of renewing things for you and will send an invoice.
Design
All of the artwork and text used in the design phase is for reference only. Only images and content to which the client holds rights to will be used in the final website production.
Content
Any content submitted by the client should be submitted in its final form. In the event that the client decides to change, add or delete content after submitted content has been installed on the website (this includes a staging site, such as ‘in progress’), the hourly rate for changes will apply.
Cancellation of a Project
Should a project be cancelled by the client during any phase after signing an agreement, any balance owing would be payable immediately in addition to a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining project cost. CarricDesign would then deliver any electronic files in their current state and return any materials supplied by the client.
Domain Names and Hosting
CarricDesign will obtain the rights to use a domain name(s) for the client and set up web hosting for the domain
name(s), if desired. If the client already has this set up or would prefer to register on their own, the client becomes responsible for all support issues regarding the set-up and usage of their account, including email.
Invoicing and Payment
Invoices will be sent in PDF form via email. Payment can be made via electronic funds transfer (to carol@carricdesign.com) or by cheque (payable to CarricDesign).
That’s all for now, but this page is subject to change without notice, but we will always update the ‘updated date’, so that you can be reasonably sure that you have the most up-to-date information. You can always use our handy form to say hello and ask questions.
