Canadian Water Quality Association
Canadian Water Quality Association
This was such an interesting project to be involved with. There were quite a few moving parts. It was paramount that the Board of Directors wanted to make the most of this website re-design, leveraging every benefit possible for their members.
As a national association, CWQA has Board members across Canada, which meant all project work was conducted remotely through email, Zoom, and phone calls. This setup demanded a high degree of organization and clear communication.
A strategic decision was made to transition from the .com domain to the .ca domain, further reinforcing CWQA’s Canadian identity. This meant that URLs from the old site needed to be carefully catalogued so that they could be mapped in the new site.
Finally, the CWQA had decided to implement a new membership system. The member database was migrated, and each profile was set up with care to minimize any disruption. The membership system was also enhanced with automated features to streamline renewals and event registrations, creating a more efficient experience for members.
In early 2024, the Canadian Water Quality Association went looking for a website company to assist with an overhaul of the website, and also to assist with setting up a new member management system. We found both of those in Carric Design. They were familiar with the member management system, and the other referrals from satisfied clients helped us to choose working with Carric. Carric owned and managed the changes with very little help from me, which was very appreciated. They took the to do list from the Board of Directors and ran with it. Whenever, I had a question a very quick answer was provided along with excellent support and even provided training videos for down the road. It was great working with Carric Design, and I expect we will continue to get Carol’s expertise to help us down the road. (from Google Reviews)
